Hello! After many drafts and iterations, here we are with our brand new site and store.
Kris and I are happy to finally have a place on the web to call 'home'. A place where we can share a more in-depth look at our adventures, creative processes, and products. We're sure that over time this site will change and grow along with us, but we're excited to see where this new chapter leads us!
Okay, with all of that out of the way - we figured you may want to know who We Have Fun is. The short answer is: we're Danielle and Kris, a Canadian couple who walked away from their corporate careers to pursue our creative passions (if you want to read more about us you can in our About Us page).
We both were unhappy with our office jobs - Kris working in Information Security, Danielle working as a Designer in a financial firm - we wanted a more fulfilling professional life, and preferably one where we got to spend more time together.
When the pandemic hit we were both working across the province from our nearest and dearest which really took a toll on the both of us - especially when you're enduring a winter that lasts for what seems like forever and working at corporate jobs that didn't allow for much creativity.
As more and more jobs became remote, we took it as an opportunity to relocate back home and find a space that would allow us to pursue our creative passions full-time. Once the dust settled after our move, we found ourselves working on a few creative projects in our ever-expanding workshop, each project honing our skills a little more until we were comfortable offering custom products to friends and family.
Eventually we had the opportunity to create custom spirit boards for a couple of friends - it was the most fun we had had 'at work' in years. So fun that we decided that maybe alongside our blog/social media accounts we should have some type of online store for custom products. Lo and behold, the We Have Fun website was born!
